Silence in the age of Covid-19.

It’s raining now in Bangkok, Thailand. Almost three months of work from home. Tomorrow I will go to work at the office for one day of the next week. Next month, my company policy is to let 50% of employee go to office.

During quarantine, I spent time at home, read books, practice mindfulness, work and participate in online meeting. It’s easier to find peace and solitude when staying alone.

Stay safe.

Songkran festival, Thailand 2018

Some pictures from Songkran festival at my community. My community in Donmuang, Bangkok (where I’m living) has an activity. Giving food to the Buddhist monks, greeting elders, having lunch together. There’re a lot of elders here. Nice day!

I took this picture in October 2012, 6.23 AM at my apartment, when I was a university student at Thammasat.

At that time, my university life is quite struggling (haha), finishing my degree at the university was quite a difficult mission for me. By the way, yes, when I saw the sunrise, there’s still hope (a little, maybe). I got good feelings when the light was rising in the sky. I gained strength from the morning air. Please try wake up early and see this. I wish everyone hope and happiness!

See you again krub : )

I went to the Grand Palace.

On 13th October, I got news about the king. He passed away.

On 14th October, I went to work wearing black. Then the government announced that the day was being an official holiday. I ate lunch at the workplace and head to the Grand Palace near Sanam Luang in BKK with my colleague to participate in the king’s funeral procession from Siriraj Hospital to the Grand Palace. We went to the boat pier in Nonthaburi but it was too busy, so we just took a bus.

I never know I’m so sensitive about someone’s death but at that moment I couldn’t think about doing anything but going to pay respect to my king one last time. The feeling was complicated at the time.

Here are some pictures at the event from my mobile phone, and a picture of king bhumibol and queen sirikit of Thailand from somewhere in the internet.
